NOTA - useless or benefit for election

NOTA means non of the above. NOTA is an option to express dissatisfaction and rejection of any political candidate. If a voter dislike all the candidate who have contested the election in constituency get a gratification by the option NOTA. In other word it just like negative voting or you don't like any political candidate in your constituency.

NOTA is not complete solution

At present day NOTA is not complete solution in Indian election. As now NOTA is only symbolic. Any number of votes in NOTA doesn't effect result of election. If NOTA gets majority of votes then also it will not impact on candidate who gets highest number of votes after NOTA, then second position candidate will be declared as winner.
So, we can clearly say that NOTA doesn't effect any final votes result.

Benefit of NOTA

It is help to raise your voice against current candidate that you liken any of them. Voting is your right, and NOTA help you to avoid false voting. If you disappointing from your constituency political party and you don't like any one of them, then you have option to express your feeling by rejecting all candidate in your constituency by choosing NOTA.

Rules should be changed to make Powerful NOTA

As current NOTA is useless for political party. NOTA only become powerful when EC revised few rules. NOTA make Re-election with new candidate in a particular constituency if NOTA wins maximum number of votes. If second time NOTA again wins with maximum number of votes then president or governed rule happened in particular constituency.
